List of Approaches Silver Speech Uses:
The PROMPT technique uses manual touch cues to a patient’s face (jaw, tongue, lips) to guide them through saying a word, phrase, or sentence.
The cycles approach is meant for children who use several different phonological processes, or error patterns. Each process, or pattern, is targeted for a short amount of time, and then therapy cycles through the other processes.
Talk Tools is an oral motor placement therapy approach. The approach incorporates sensory and tactile input, by using a range of specifically designed tools.
SOS Approach to Feeding
Developed by Dr. Kay Toomey to address feeding behaviors in an incremental way that assesses the whole child. SOS stands for Sequential Oral Sensory, and involves evaluating factors to work towards a comprehensive understanding of a child’s food-related issues.
“Silver Speech is greatly respected by me, doctors in the area, her colleagues, parents and schools as she provides leadership, structure, perseverance, and problem solving skills. She manages to incorporate enthusiasm and a sense of humor into the everyday life while being practical in situations she encounters. She is a team player.”

"I have had the pleasure of working with Marci to support many children over the years. The dedication, knowledge and experience she brings to her work is invaluable. Marci understands children and how to support their speech development and educates the entire team on how to create a consistent care plan. Working with her has been easy as well as informative. She never stops learning and is a collaborative partner when working with any child or family.”
